Like many startups, Matthew founded Signalfire in his basement in 2002. His original intent was to take a few jobs here and there while working as a prepress manager at a regional commercial printer. He very quickly discovered that his name was being passed around. In 2006, he made the big jump and took Signalfire full time. Signalfire has not stopped growing.
Matthew’s leading role in Signalfire is business development, but he cannot keep from jumping in on the creative side. With a passion for branding and big picture thinking, Matthew loves to run the creative brainstorming sessions and come up with the big idea. A talented logo designer and user experience developer, you can always hear him grumble when it comes time for “paperwork.”
Outside of the office, Matthew is married with two incredible boys and Buddy, the family black lab. Camping, fishing, and hunting are hobbies, but history is Matthew’s real passion. An avid military historian focused on the War of 1812 and the US Civil War, you can easily throw him off track by simply asking a history question. Just be prepared for a long answer.
