Case Study: Village of Fontana

Balancing Tourism and Municipality in Web Design

Located on the beautiful, breezy shores of Geneva Lake in southeastern Wisconsin, the Village of Fontana is a tight-knit community proudly offering a small-town atmosphere with all the benefits of a waterfront destination.

The Challenge

When the Village Board approached Signalfire, they were experiencing several issues. The primary concern was their website. It was crowded, outdated, and not mobile-responsive.

The board’s frustration with the site had been building as its navigation was cumbersome and many components no longer functioned properly. The village also needed to place more emphasis on building tourism interest as well as promoting their local businesses.

Upon taking the time to fully understand the challenges Fontana’s Village Board was experiencing, Signalfire’s guides and outfitters charted a course to address them.

Signalfire’s Creative Solutions

After hosting a creative kickoff meeting, our team took swift action designing, developing, and writing a new, mobile-responsive WordPress website that allocates ample space for municipal functions (such as meeting minutes, and events calendar, etc.) and tourism promotion.

Signalfire’s creative design simplified site navigation and structure to improve its user experience and become a more effective communication platform for both residents and visitors to utilize.
