November 2017 – Signalfire, a creative marketing agency based in Delavan, Wisconsin, recently received two W3 Awards for Door County destination website designs. With these outstanding websites for the Sturgeon Bay and Fish Creek communities, Signalfire has been nationally recognized for their outstanding design work for the third time in less than a month.
Signalfire’s Award-Winning Designs
The W3 Awards recognize the power of web creativity through an extensive selection process by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts. Each year, entries are judged on standards of overall excellence in design and user experience.
Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center
Working alongside the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center since 2007, Signalfire was able to effectively create an innovative, mobile-responsive website design showcasing the colorful culture of their community (www.sturgeonbay.net).
The project involved enhanced functionality, featuring an easy-to-use member support system, a searchable business directory, and a printable community calendar.
Visit Fish Creek
Signalfire also developed a unique and versatile website for the Fish Creek Civic Association (www.visitfishcreek.com). Although located just a short distance from each other, the two Door County destinations offer very distinct experiences.
Fish Creek’s former site was cumbersome and outdated, so Signalfire produced a dynamic new web presence, highlighting the wealth of shopping, lodging, and dining options in a mobile-responsive framework.
“The design process on both of these websites was really interesting,” Signalfire Designer, Heather Harris said. “Because the communities and brand identities are actually very different, designing both of them was challenging but also rewarding. I think we were able to communicate the beauty and strengths of each in ways that allow them both to shine.”
The creative guides and outfitters at Signalfire also recently received a 2017 GD USA graphic design award for the branding of Houston-based industrial chemical provider, Delta Urethanes.
Their design team provided a comprehensive branding package for the logo, business identity materials, and website, which caught the attention of national design professionals.
“We feel very honored to be recognized for these projects,” Signalfire President, Matthew Olson commented. “It just goes to show that when passionate creatives meet strategic implementation, incredible results will follow.”
